Automotive Repair and Maintenance is aimed at preparing the learner with skills and a range of learning required to work effectively in the automotive repair and maintenance industry. They learn to meet the challenges of this industry and related environments.
The primary skill that is recognised is the ability to apply the theory behind repair and maintenance. To do general servicing of vehicles. It is also the learners first step towards becoming a qualified automotive technician.
This qualification is only available to learners who registered for this programme prior to January 2026. It also applies to learners who have already completed Level 2 and wish to proceed with Level 3 and Level 4.
Please note that this qualification can only be completed up until December 2027. After this date, learners will be required to enrol in the new qualification (118733) in order to continue or complete their studies.
